Description

The seat you've been waiting for

You're not just a tech. You're the one other techs bring their questions to. You find the problem the last guy missed, you fix it right the first time, and you leave the home cleaner than you found it. Customers ask for you by name because they trust your work.

And you've figured out what most techs never do: the trade is only half of it. Where you go from here depends on who you build it with.

That's why this seat matters.

Who you'd be building with

Next Level Home Pros is part of a portfolio led by operators who've built and exited two nine-figure businesses. They know what it takes to grow a trades company into a strong regional brand, and they're bringing that experience to NLHP.

Orange County is where we're building. The team is still small, and you'd be part of the early crew that sets the standard for everyone who comes after.

The work you do now, the customers you take care of, and the reputation you build become the foundation everything else stacks on. Early techs in a market like this are first in line for the Service Manager, Field Supervisor, and leadership roles that open as we grow.

If you want to be that person, this is the seat.

The role

Residential HVAC service, repair, and installation across Orange County and the surrounding area: Middletown, Newburgh, Goshen, Monroe, Warwick, Greenwood Lake, Port Jervis, and nearby communities including Sullivan County and Pike and Wayne PA. We work on everything except geothermal: heat pumps, gas and oil furnaces, boilers and hydronic heat, central AC, and mini-splits.

  • Diagnose and repair systems, and do it right the first time.
  • Handle installs: equipment change-outs, new system installs, line sets and ductwork, start-up and commissioning.
  • Walk homeowners through what you found and their options, including repair vs. replace, using company pricing.
  • Keep your work, your truck, and the customer's home clean and professional.

Leads, dispatch, marketing, and billing are handled. Your job is to be great in the home and great on the truck.

How you get paid

This is an hourly, non-exempt role with a guaranteed weekly base, so you're covered all year, including shoulder seasons.

  • Base pay: $1,200–$1,600 per week guaranteed for full-time ($62,400–$83,200/year).
  • Performance pay: each week, you're paid the greater of your guaranteed base or your performance pay (commission on jobs you sell and install).
  • Bonuses for self-generated leads and employee referrals.
  • Overtime as required by law.

The plan is built to reward techs who do great work. We'll walk you through the full written plan when we connect.

Where this goes

This isn't just a job. It's a lane.

As the brand grows across the Hudson Valley and the NY/PA region, Service Manager and Field Supervisor roles will open. We promote from within first, and the techs who got in early and built a strong track record here are the people we look to.

We're looking for partners, not employees. Profit sharing and a path to partnership for all employees after the third year.

If you read that and think "that's me," you're who we're looking for.

What we need from you

  • 2+ years of residential HVAC service and/or install experience. You can run calls solo and own the outcome.
  • Real diagnostic ability on heat pumps, gas and oil furnaces, boilers and hydronic systems, central AC, and mini-splits.
  • Install experience: change-outs, new systems, line sets and ductwork, start-up and commissioning.
  • EPA Section 608 certification.
  • Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets our vehicle insurance requirements.
  • You communicate clearly with homeowners: you can explain what's wrong and walk them through their options.
  • You follow company pricing. No off-book discounting.
  • You're ready to grow with a company that's still being built and help shape what it becomes.

Physical requirements

These are essential functions of the job, performed with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Working in attics, crawl spaces, and tight or confined spaces.
  • Working in heat, cold, and outdoor weather.
  • Climbing ladders and working on roofs.
  • Regularly lifting and carrying equipment up to 50 lbs; heavier items with help or equipment.
  • Kneeling, crawling, bending, and standing for long periods.
  • Using hand and power tools.

What you get

  • A guaranteed weekly base, with performance pay and overtime on top.
  • Quality dispatched leads and professional support so you stay on the truck.
  • None of the headaches of running your own shop: marketing, dispatch, billing, and collections are handled.
  • Direct exposure to operators who've built and scaled large companies.
  • A path to leadership as we grow across Orange County and beyond.
  • We're building something special, and we recognize the people who help build it. Top performers and founding members are on a path for equity after three years, subject to the terms of the operating agreement.
  • Up to 40 hours of paid sick leave per year (per New York State law).
  • Company truck and tools provided.
  • Uniform provided.
  • Flexible schedule.
  • Paid training and certifications. We grow as you grow your skills.
