We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Customer Experience/Guest Care Specialist to join our new luxury hair salon. In this pivotal role, you will be the first and last point of contact with our valued clients, responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing receptionist duties, and promoting our salon's services and products. The ideal candidate is not only a welcoming and professional receptionist but also excels at sales, ensuring that every client enjoys a memorable and personalized experience.


Key Responsibilities:

Client Engagement and Reception:

  • Warmly greet and welcome clients as they enter the salon, creating a positive and inviting atmosphere.
  • Manage appointment bookings, confirmations, and check-in/check-out processes efficiently and accurately.
  • Handle client inquiries and provide information on salon services, products, and pricing.
  • Assist clients with coat check, refreshments, and ensuring their comfort while waiting.

Exceptional Customer Experiences:

  • Ensure that each client's visit is memorable and exceptional, going above and beyond to meet their needs and preferences.
  • Handle client feedback and concerns professionally, striving to resolve issues to the client's satisfaction.
  • Maintain a gracious and professional demeanor under all circumstances.


Sales and Upselling:

  • Actively promote salon services, products, and special offers to clients, tailoring recommendations to their needs.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets by identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling salon services and retail products.
  • Build strong product knowledge and stay updated on the latest beauty trends and industry innovations.

Salon Appearance and Ambiance:

  • Maintain the reception area's cleanliness and organization to create a luxurious and welcoming environment.
  • Collaborate with salon staff to ensure the overall salon appearance is impeccable at all times.

Administrative Support:

  • Assist with various administrative tasks, including data entry, managing client records, and processing payments.
  • Provide support to the salon manager and team as needed to ensure smooth salon operations.


  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus)
  • Proven experience in a similar customer service, receptionist, or sales role, preferably in the beauty or luxury service industry
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Strong sales and upselling abilities, with a passion for delivering a personalized client experience.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask and handle administrative duties efficiently.
  • Knowledge of salon software and appointment booking systems is an advantage.
