Nkeoma Luxury Salon is a full-service luxury salon in Somerset, NJ specializing in textured hair care and protective styling. We offer braiding and full salon services under one roof — a professional, structured environment built specifically for clients who expect skill, consistency, and care. We are one of the few salons in the region that employs braiders as W-2 team members — not booth renters, not cash-only independent contractors. We offer a guaranteed hourly base. You focus on the craft. We handle the clients, the booking, and the business. We are looking for a skilled braider who takes pride in their work, communicates well with clients, and thrives in a professional, team-based environment. In New Jersey, braiding does not require a cosmetology license — if you have strong hands, proven skill, and a great client manner, we want to talk.
Services You'll Provide
• Box braids (traditional and knotless), cornrows, feed-in braids, goddess/bohemian braids
• Two-strand twists, flat twists, Bantu knots, and other natural protective styles
• Crochet style installation
• Locs maintenance (retwisting, grooming) — preferred but not required
What You'll Do
• Conduct thorough consultations before each service — listen, assess, and recommend
• Execute protective styles with precision, care, and attention to client hair health
• Follow the salon's booking, check-in, and checkout procedures consistently
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace
• Build a loyal client base within the salon's booking system

• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Comfortable working within a structured, team-based environment
Preferred:
• 1+ years of braiding experience in a professional or independent setting

What Makes This Different
The traditional braiding world runs on cash, informal arrangements, and no stability. We built something different: a professional salon where braiders are employees with a guaranteed income, a real schedule, and clients they didn't have to hustle to find.
If you are tired of the uncertainty of independent work and want to focus on your craft in a professional environment — this is the role for you.
