As an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), you will be joining a growing team focused on enhancing and optimizing cloud infrastructure for a high-impact online platform.
This role involves working as a hands-on technical expert, focusing on reliability, security, and scalability of a complex, cloud-native architecture on AWS.

Main Tasks:
- Lead and execute cloud migration efforts to AWS, ensuring best practices for scalability and reliability.
- Design, implement, and manage core services such as Redis, BullMQ on Kubernetes, Next,js, PostgreSQL, and Push Notification Service on AWS.
- Utilize Cloudflare for DNS and image optimization; implement robust CI/CD workflows with GitHub Actions.
- Develop and optimize logging and observability solutions for better QA and staging environments, working with AWS Secrets Manager for secure secrets management.
- Play a vital role in managing and refining QA and staging environments, enhancing testing and deployment reliability.
- Collaborate closely with DevOps to improve security, performance optimizations, and overall cloud infrastructure stability.
- On-going leadership and support as the team and company’s needs scale.
- This role will report to the CTO and will be heavily involved in owning and informing their leadership with strategic decisions being made.
Personal & Technical Requirements:
- Mid-Senior Level Experience as a strong individual contributor who is a subject-matter expert (SME) capable of independent problem solving and strategic decision-making.
- Strong proficiency and experience with the following:
- AWS, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
- Redis, BullMQ, Next.js, PostgreSQL, TypeScript, Cloudflare, GitHub Actions, and Terraform.
- Secrets Management, logging, and observability solutions.
- Security and optimization-focused, with a track record in enhancing cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
- Cloudflare DNS and image handling.
- Strong focus and passion about building secure, resilient cloud environments with a focus on continuous optimization and improvements.
- Comfortable working in a small, start-up environment.
- Ability to adapt and work cross-functionally with others is essential.
