Working alongside the Restaurant Manager, you’ll help lead daily operations, coach team members, maintain high standards for food quality and cleanliness, and ensure every customer receives fast, friendly, and accurate five star service. The right candidate will be proactive, organized, solutions-focused, and ready to take ownership of the restaurant when the Restaurant Manager is unavailable.

What You’ll Do

Lead an Exceptional Customer Experience

  • Ensure customers receive friendly, professional service and accurate, complete orders within established service-time goals.
  • Maintain high standards for food preparation, product quality, freshness, and presentation.
  • Address customer questions and concerns promptly, professionally, and according to company procedures.
  • Create an environment that encourages repeat business and customer loyalty.

Drive Operational Excellence

  • Help oversee daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, product quality, speed of service, cleanliness, and shift execution.
  • Lead opening and closing procedures and ensure the restaurant is fully prepared for each business day.
  • Monitor labor, food, paper, waste, and utility usage during assigned shifts.
  • Complete food-safety checks and ensure compliance with ServSafe standards and local health department requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, well-stocked, and safe restaurant.
  • Identify operational problems quickly and take appropriate action to resolve them.

Develop and Motivate the Team

  • Direct and supervise team members throughout each shift.
  • Train, coach, and provide constructive feedback to improve individual and team performance.
  • Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable for company standards.
  • Recognize strong performance and help create an energetic, respectful, and productive workplace.
  • Lead by example through professionalism, urgency, reliability, and a positive attitude.
  • Support the Restaurant Manager with recruiting, onboarding, training, and retaining high-quality employees.

Protect the Business

  • Follow all cash-handling, deposit, safety, and security procedures.
  • Complete required daily, weekly, and period-end documentation accurately and on time.
  • Maintain accurate records related to sales, inventory, waste, food safety, employee performance, and shift operations.
  • Enforce company policies consistently and fairly.
  • Respond appropriately to staffing shortages, equipment issues, customer concerns, and other unexpected situations.
  • Escalate serious operational or personnel concerns to the Restaurant Manager when necessary.

Support Sales and Continuous Improvement

  • Help execute promotions, suggestive-selling initiatives, and local marketing efforts.
  • Encourage the team to identify sales opportunities and deliver consistent customer service.
  • Review shift performance and recommend practical solutions that improve efficiency, quality, and profitability.
  • Support the Restaurant Manager in achieving restaurant goals and building a high-performing operation.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • A current ServSafe Food Manager Certification is required for this position.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous restaurant-management or comparable retail-leadership experience required.
  • Little Caesars management is not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable.
  • Strong communication, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic math skills and experience with cash handling, labor management, inventory, or cost controls.
  • Ability to remain professional and make sound decisions in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance required.
  • Must be dependable, hardworking, and committed to maintaining high operational standards.

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on restaurant leadership position. The Assistant Manager must be able to:

  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequently bend, reach, squat, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Lift and carry up to 55 pounds.
  • Work safely around ovens, kitchen equipment, hot surfaces, and food-preparation areas.
  • Perform restaurant cleaning, stocking, food preparation, and other operational duties as needed.

Reasonable accommodations may be provided to qualified individuals with disabilities in accordance with applicable law.

Schedule and Availability

  • Must be available to work a minimum of 35 hours per week.
  • Flexible availability is required, including evenings, weekends, and certain holidays based on business needs.
  • Must complete all required company training and maintain required certifications.
