Description

Patient Experience Specialist

Nexus Neuropsychiatry PLLC | Rochester, NY

The Opportunity

Nexus Neuropsychiatry is not your average medical office. We are a rapidly expanding, high-growth practice in Rochester that is aggressively adding new service lines and scaling our operations. We are seeking a Patient Experience Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced, "startup-energy" environment.

Note to Students: We strongly encourage pre-med, pre-PA, and healthcare administration students to apply. If you are looking for a clinical environment where your critical thinking is valued more than your years of experience, this is your seat at the table.

Why Nexus?

We offer a high-velocity environment where you aren’t just a "cog in the machine."

  • The "Anti-Hospital" Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM. No weekends, no early morning shifts.
  • Education Investment: We offer a Student Loan/Tuition Reimbursement stipend specifically designed to support our team’s academic and professional growth.
  • Career Velocity: As we launch new service lines, you will be on the front lines of healthcare innovation and practice management.
  • Comprehensive Perks: $40,000/year salary, health insurance, 401K, PTO, and free on-site parking.

Your Impact

In a rapidly changing environment, your role is to be the "anchor." You will:

  • Master the Flow: Coordinate complex patient check-ins/outs and multi-line communications in a high-volume setting.
  • Operational Problem Solving: Use critical thinking to resolve scheduling conflicts and insurance hurdles before they impact patient care.
  • Tech Integration: Utilize JaneApp (EHR) and digital tools to manage patient data with 100% accuracy.
  • Support Expansion: Adapt quickly as we introduce new medical services, helping to refine and implement new front-office workflows.
  • Patient Advocacy: Maintain a warm, professional, and empathetic presence, ensuring our patients feel supported during their mental health journey.

Who You Are

We value superior organization and multitasking over previous medical experience.

  • The Multitasker: You can manage a ringing phone, a checking-in patient, and an urgent provider request simultaneously without losing your cool.
  • The Critical Thinker: You don't wait for a manual; you see a problem and propose a solution.
  • The Organizer: You have an elite level of attention to detail. "Good enough" is not in your vocabulary.
  • The Student/Learner: You have a "sponge" mindset and are eager to learn the business and clinical sides of neuropsychiatry.
  • Tech-Fluent: You pick up new software (like JaneApp) instantly and look for ways to use technology to be more efficient.

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma required; current enrollment in or completion of a degree program (Pre-Med, Biology, Psychology, or Health Admin) is highly preferred.
  • Skills: Exceptional communication and computer skills are non-negotiable.
  • Attributes: Resilience, adaptability, and a genuine heart for patient care.

To Apply:

  • Please submit your resume and a brief note on why you thrive in fast-paced, changing environments.
