We are seeking a highly motivated, compassionate, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant/Technician to join our clinical team and help us deliver exceptional patient care.

Description

Responsibilities

Patient Care and Treatment Administration

  • Assist with Interventional Treatments: Primarily responsible for the preparation, administration, and monitoring of patients during interventional procedures, specifically Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Esketamine (Spravato®).
  • TMS: Properly position and prepare patients for treatment, operate the TMS device according to protocol, and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
  • Esketamine: Prepare the treatment room, monitor vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation) throughout the treatment session, and ensure patient comfort and safety.
  • Vitals and Health Screening: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, weight, and relevant health information prior to and during procedures.
  • Patient Education: Clearly explain treatment procedures, potential side effects, and aftercare instructions to patients in an empathetic and professional manner.
  • Documentation: Maintain precise, thorough, and timely documentation of all procedures, patient observations, and communications in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

Clinical and Administrative Support

  • Clinic Flow Management: Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring they are clean, fully stocked, and compliant with all safety and sanitation standards.
  • Inventory and Supplies: Monitor and manage inventory of clinical supplies, reporting needs and assisting with ordering to ensure adequate stock for treatments.
  • Triage and Communication: Assist with patient calls, addressing immediate clinical questions, and efficiently routing communication between patients and the prescribing providers.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Assist with scheduling treatment sessions and coordinating follow-up appointments.


Qualifications

Required

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification: Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or equivalent clinical certification (e.g., EMT, CNA with significant clinical experience).
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical office, hospital, or psychiatry/neurology setting.
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in taking and interpreting vital signs.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow complex clinical protocols.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong emphasis on empathy and patience.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.

Preferred

  • Prior experience in a psychiatry or neurology setting is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience with EHR systems.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric terminology and pharmacology.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.
