Newman Early Learning Center offers high-quality early childhood education for infants through kindergarten, including before and after care. We focus on nurturing each child's growth in a safe, engaging, and supportive environment, fostering development through age-appropriate learning and play.

This full-time position is scheduled to begin at the end of August 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Lead Teacher: Assist in planning and implementing daily activities that promote children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Supervise Children: Ensure the safety and well-being of all children, providing attentive care and positive guidance.
• Classroom Environment: Help create and maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming classroom space that fosters learning and creativity.
• Engage with Children: Interact with children through play, learning activities, and one-on-one attention, supporting their growth and development.
• Communicate with Parents: Assist with maintaining open communication with parents/guardians about their child’s progress and daily activities.
• Collaborate with Team: Work closely with the Lead Teacher and other staff members to create a positive and productive learning environment.
• Support Classroom Management: Help implement positive behavior strategies and assist with the management of classroom routines.

Qualifications:

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma.
• Experience working with young children in a classroom or childcare setting preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A love for working with children and a commitment to their well-being and growth.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
