Event Sales and Coordination for Wedding and Event Venue
New Park Event Venue & Suites is looking for an Event Coordinator.
Responsibilities include sales (taking couples on tours of the venue), marketing (social media and events), prepping and attending weddings and other special events. Be there all weekend, making sure everything is going smoothly, and working with the rest of the staff as needed to clean, set up, tear down, and just generally be available for questions. You should be very personable, professional, and a strong problem solver.
Preferred experience in hospitality, hotels, weddings, events, and marketing, and willing to train the right candidate. The role requires someone charismatic and personable as well as tech-savvy and detail oriented. While the primary role will be supporting the events, you'll also be responsible for documenting the events on social media, and writing up blog posts afterwards for our website. It's a busy role!
The events role is 20-30 hours per week. Weekends are required, and will include some late nights (some of our events go until 2am).

Must be available to work weekends.
In all transparency, if you bring us a long list of summer vacations and weekends you can't work, this particular role isn't going to work for you, but you can look at our other positions. Must be located in the Finger Lakes area (will not consider remote for this role).

Willing to follow local laws and any additional requirements of the event host (i.e. bride and groom want everyone to wear a mask even though not locally mandated)
