Client Care Technician (CCT)

New Life Treatment Center (NLTC) – Woodstock, MN

Pay: $23.00–$25.00 per hour

Shift Differential: Additional $2.50 per hour for hours worked between 1600–0800

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: 12-hour shifts | Day and Night shifts

Position Overview

New Life Treatment Center is seeking a compassionate and dependable Client Care Technician (CCT) to support clients receiving detoxification and residential substance use disorder treatment.

The CCT provides direct support under the direction of the Director of Nursing and licensed nursing staff. This position focuses on client safety, monitoring, daily living support, medication-related duties, documentation, and maintaining a safe and supportive treatment environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor client safety and complete scheduled safety checks and rounds.
• Observe and report changes in client behavior, health, or condition to nursing staff.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, mobility, and general needs.
• Assist with medication-related duties as permitted by NLTC policy and after completing required training and competency validation.
• Document client observations, safety checks, attendance, medication-related activities, and incidents accurately in the electronic health record.
• Maintain client confidentiality and protect private health information.
• Support infection control, cleaning, sanitation, and facility safety procedures.
• Assist nursing staff with supplies, equipment checks, records, and other administrative duties.
• Communicate respectfully and professionally with clients and members of the treatment team.
• Support a trauma-informed, person-centered, and recovery-oriented environment.
• Report safety concerns, medication concerns, or significant changes in client condition immediately to nursing staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 18 years of age.
• One year of freedom from problematic substance use, as required by Minnesota regulations.
• Experience in healthcare, nursing assistance, CNA, TMA, EMT, addiction treatment, or a related support role is preferred.
• TMA certification is preferred, or willingness to complete NLTC medication training and competency requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals receiving substance use disorder treatment.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Basic computer skills and ability to complete electronic documentation.
• Successful Minnesota DHS background study.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
• Completion of required training, including mandated reporting, client rights, confidentiality, infection control, and emergency procedures.
