Preventative & Repair Building Maintenance.
PURPOSE: The purpose of the Maintenance Specialist is to assure the proper working order and upkeep of all of New Beginnings properties & facilities.
REQUIREMENTS: The Maintenance Specialist must have working knowledge of basic building construction elements to include but not limited to some HAVC, plumbing, electrical, and to also include the preventative measures necessary to keep a building mechanically sound. It also requires a working knowledge of appliances and machinery necessary at each location.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develop and maintain routine maintenance schedules
· Assess all trouble areas of New Beginnings buildings and recommend solutions
· Repair as necessary and in accordance to skill level areas needing repair
· Refer to outside service providers for problems beyond the scope of regular maintenance
· Supervise those working as volunteers or in transitional jobs on projects
· Maintain and request adequate tools to accomplish maintenance goals
· Communicate needs and observations to other staff members
· Accurate and timely logging of repair, supplies, and actions
· Prepare receipts for invoicing and reimbursement
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: This position requires at least one year of successful experience working as a maintenance or service personnel in an institutional setting or at least 2 years’ experience working with a general contractor who is working with these various working areas
$15 - $17 per hour
