NetGO has a current opening for an AWS Technical Architect to support a Federal Government client with their digital transformation and modernization programs. In this role, the AWS Technical Architect will work with stakeholders, executive leaderships, and IT experts to define innovative, client-focused, technical solutions.

Hybrid Position- 3 Days Remote, 2 Days at Contractor Tysons Corner office


Responsibilities:


• Designing and creating solutions using best-in-class cloud technologies to solve our clients’ challenges

• Take a central role in the planning and construction of intuitive cloud-based applications

• Define strategies for migrating On-Prem applications to the cloud

• Lead cloud migration activities

• Implement DevSecOps

• Coaching and mentoring fellow team members

• Leading application development efforts

• Coding, debugging, and supporting cloud-based applications

• Ensuring the quality and technical excellence of enterprise-grade solutions

• Designing application architecture

• Taking ownership of cloud-based applications

• Planning and executing technical application details


Qualifications:


• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or other relevant degree or equivalent industry experience Industry-recognized certifications and/or publications in the area of expertise are preferred Software

• Minimum eight (8) years experience as an Architect, with at least three (3) years in AWS specifically.

• At least one (1) AWS Certification

• Deep background leading a team working in an Agile methodology to develop software

• Deep experience applying design patterns in Angular 5+/TypeScript, Vue, React, or similar

• Proven ability to design and develop microservices and their supporting structures 

• Extremely proficient in object-oriented development and design patterns 

• Established experience in Node.js

• Established experience in C#/.NET Core or Java/Spring

• Experience using build tools like Grunt, Gulp, Webpack, Bower, or similar

• Established understanding of Test-Driven development, unit testing, and clean code

• Worked with tools such as Jenkins, Jira, Bitbucket, or similar.

• Superb written and oral communication skills

• Outstanding interpersonal skills, strong work ethic, self-motivated and excellent presentation skills

• Ability to effectively work both autonomously as well as on a team


Preferred Qualifications:


• Experience architecting solutions on AWS using Serverless framework(s)

• Ability to ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

• Experience in project technical estimation, component breakdown, and cross-application communication

• Experience with developing testing strategies for complex applications

• Experience leading distributed and/or global teams
