Senior Software Engineer

Location: Sacramento, CA (Hybrid) / Remote

For over 25 years, Nedasoft has provided software to empower California’s Regional Centers in supporting people with developmental disabilities. Today Nedasoft is expanding its product series with a new cloud-based platform that can serve as a hub for Regional Centers, service providers, disabled individuals, and parents. 

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead development of Nedasoft's core platform and help shape the direction of the company's product and technology. This role reports directly to the CTO. We are looking for a strong individual contributor who wants to stay focused on building the product.

In this role, you will: 

• Own and lead development of key features of the core product and platform.
• Lead efforts to ensure the quality and reliability of the technology stack, applying sound engineering practices.
• Partner closely with the design and product team to shape software design around user needs.
• Lead technical discussions to ensure the system architecture scales to meet product goals.
• Mentor other engineers and help grow the technical expertise of the team.

• .NET 8+ (C#) 
• Next.js/React.js (Typescript/JS) 
• SQL Server 
• Azure infrastructure 
• Claude Code for agentic work
• Copilot for CI code review

What we’re looking for: 

• 5+ years of experience building scalable, production-grade cloud systems.
• Understanding of RESTful API design, microservices, and event-driven systems.
• Full-stack experience with an emphasis on backend development.
• Experience owning architecture decisions and leading technical discussions.
• Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows, including CI/CD.
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to become a subject matter expert on the platform.
• Ability to build trust and drive clarity across teams.
• Comfort with shifting priorities in a small, growing company.
• Exposure to containerization (Docker)
