The National Museum of Wildlife Art is offering a paid summer internship for individuals seeking to deepen their knowledge and gain hands-on experience in museum education and interpretation.

We are currently accepting applications for the NMWA Education Internship for Summer 2025.

 

Education Internship

Application Deadline: Submit by February 17, 2025

Stipend: $7,680 for a 12-week internship, plus up to $4,500 for housing assistance for out-of-town candidates to offset Jackson’s high rental costs. (Please note that taxes will be deducted from both the stipend and housing allowance.)

 

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a graduate-level student interested in museum education. The internship includes:

  • Managing Open Studio sessions
  • Developing educational programming
  • Engaging diverse audiences
  • Facilitating program assessments
  • Completing a self-selected project

 

Applicants with experience in informal teaching, public programming, film, or design are encouraged to apply. Experience in exhibition assessment is a plus.
