About the Role

Nascency is a rapidly growing, early-stage healthy baby company. Our mission is to empower both surrogates and intended parents from exploration to birth, providing personalized matching, unparalleled support, and proactive advocacy for everyone involved in the process.


We’re seeking an entrepreneurial and innovative Head of Recruiting to join us as an early team member, owning Nascency’s recruiting function for gestational carriers (GCs). You will play a pivotal role in building and executing the infrastructure to attract, assess and retain prospective surrogates, ensuring a seamless and compassionate journey for all members through matching.


As an early hire in a rapidly growing startup, this is a high-impact role with the opportunity to shape the company’s growth trajectory. This role requires someone who is both a hands-on executor and forward thinker, capable of managing a teams of recruiters while while rolling up their sleeves to bring plans to life. The ideal candidate will have a background in surrogacy or third party reproduction recruiting, with a strong focus on achieving recruitment goals and driving business growth.


Responsibilities


Recruiting

  • Build and maintain relationships with surrogates and partners, guiding them through the learning, matching and onboarding process.
  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract qualified surrogate candidates through various channels.


Team Management

  • Recruit, support and lead a team of surrogacy recruiters to effectively recruit and qualify prospective surrogates.
  • Manage ongoing performance metrics for recruitment among team, making adjustments as needed to achieve optimal results.


Operational Development

  • Help build and deploy CRM practices and educational initiatives that are designed to better educate, onboard and prepare surrogates for a journey
  • Ensure all recruitment activities are in compliance with industry standards, legal requirements, and ethical best practices.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in surrogacy or third party reproduction recruiting, with a strong understanding of industry regulations.
  • Proven track record (3+ years) in sales and sales management, with a focus on achieving recruitment goals and driving business growth.
  • Strong people skills and ability to influence people, implement recruitment strategies and improve processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with surrogates, team members, and clients.


Compensation


This is a full-time role and compensation is a combination of base (experience) and highly incentivized bonus (performance), with competitive benefits, including health, dental, vision and retirement 401k in 2025. Salary is composed of base (experience-based) and bonus (performance-based) and there is the opportunity to earn equity among senior leadership with a likely total compensation range of $65,000-$145,000 based on performance and seniority.
