RESTAURANT SERVER
A Restaurant Server is responsible for delivering a memorable dining experience for all guests. Restaurant servers will maintain strong floor presence and ensure service consistently runs smoothly. The Server is a main point of contact and ambassador, he/she will guide guests through their meal in a warm, accommodating, and professional manner. We are seeking a motivated candidate with abilities to remain calm under pressure, a team player and uphold a sense urgency throughout each shift.
Responsibilities
- Greet tables promptly
- Answer questions about menu items
- Accurately take customer orders and properly relay to the kitchen staff
- Facilitate fulfilling drink orders with the bar team
- Gracefully suggest/upsell additional menu items, including specials, desserts, and drinks
- Memorize the menu for on-demand recitation and questions about ingredients
- Utilize the POS system to accurately calculate the patron's bill
- Perform all opening and closing side work duties efficiently and consistently
- Handle cash with detail and accuracy
- Offer special assistance to patrons with specific needs, such as highchairs for children
- Fulfill Cafe Orders utilizing espresso equipment

- Team player, hard worker, multi-tasker and detail oriented
- Knowledge of the food & beverage as a craft – or enthusiasm to acquire that knowledge
- Genuine desire to be helpful: able to jump in and assist other departments when necessary
- Works cooperatively with others in all situations
Requirements & Experience
- Clear understanding of the English language (verbal and written)
- Ability to respond to emergency situations to avoid endangering themselves or others
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, up to 8 hours per shift
- Working knowledge of all basic steps-of-service and serving etiquette
- Working knowledge on food allergens & alcohol safety awareness (i.e.: ServSafe, etc.)
- Working knowledge on basic classic cocktails and spirits
- Working basic wine knowledge
- Flexible in schedule and willing to meet the demands of a complex operation
- Time management skills
- Willingness to comply with all food safety procedures
