This role requires an experienced Agile Scrum Master to work in a Government IC environment.
We are seeking an experienced Agile Scrum Master to join our team in a Government IC environment. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding and coaching the Scrum Team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high-quality products and services to our customers. You will work with the team to reach a high-performing level and identify areas of strength and improvement. Additionally, you will ensure that Scrum is understood and followed by the team, and coach them in self-organization, cross-functional skillset, and effective communication. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to influence and drive decision-making, resolve team impediments, and support organizational project or product teams. You will also contribute to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization. Facilitating and supporting all Scrum events, such as Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective, will be part of your responsibilities. You will act as a leader who coaches and supports Agile teams assigned to both Business as Usual (BAU) work and important department initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience providing technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments.
- Experience establishing goals and plans that meet project objectives.
- Domain and expert technical knowledge.
- Direct experience using JIRA/Confluence toolset for progress reporting and metrics management.
- Experience directing and controlling activities for a client, with overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing to ensure technical requirements are met.
- Experience interfacing with senior management and negotiating with clients on requirements and deliverables.
- Safe Agilist Certification.
- Scrum Alliance Scrum Master Certification.
- Experience supervising others.
- Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree with 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or a Master's degree with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience.
- US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the government contracts we support.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary development teams.
- Knowledge/experience with the implementation of Scaled Agile Framework practices and principles.
- Previous experience managing tasks/personnel across multiple locations.
- Experience in any part of the software development lifecycle is a plus (developer, tester, analyst, product manager, project/program manager, etc.).
- Experience with applying test automation, test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous deployment to achieve built-in quality by the teams.
