We are currently seeking a highly skilled Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Technician to join our dynamic team.


Job Summary: The IPM Technician will be responsible for implementing and managing pest control measures within our indoor cannabis cultivation facility. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with extensive knowledge of integrated pest management practices, an understanding of cannabis cultivation, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive IPM strategies to prevent, monitor, and manage pest infestations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of plants, growing areas, and facility to identify signs of pest activity and plant health issues.
  • Utilize biological, cultural, mechanical, and chemical methods to control pests, ensuring compliance with local and state regulations.
  • Maintain detailed records of pest management activities, including treatments applied, observations, and outcomes.
  • Communicate with the rest of cultivation staff on IPM findings, practices and protocols.
  • Monitor environmental conditions within the facility to identify factors that could contribute to pest problems.
  • Stay current with industry trends, new pest management technologies, and regulatory changes.
  • Assist in the development and updating of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to pest management.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment and equipment, including proper storage and handling of pest control materials.
  • Additional ad hoc projects, tasks, and responsibilities will apply.
  • To do spraying and plant care in line with light cycles, shift will be very early morning starting around 4 am.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in pest management, preferably in a controlled environment agriculture (CEA) setting.
  • Strong knowledge of IPM principles and techniques.
  • Experience with cannabis cultivation and understanding of cannabis plant health is highly desirable.
  • Ability to identify common pests and diseases affecting cannabis plants.
  • Proficient in the use of pest management tools and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work in varying environmental conditions, including high humidity and varying temperatures.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to train others.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in close quarters with plants and in varying environmental conditions.

Salary

$19 - $21 per hour
