ROLE OVERVIEW
Compensation: $12 per hour depending on experience. Actual rate may vary based on local wage requirements, qualifications, and business needs.
The Service Desk Representative is the welcoming face of VIVE, responsible for creating a positive first impression for every member and guest who walks through the door. This role combines hospitality, sales support, and operational duties to ensure the front-desk experience reflects VIVE’s commitment to motivation, community, and excellence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions
- Welcome members and guests with energy and enthusiasm; manage the check-in process efficiently
- Answer incoming calls, direct inquiries, and relay messages accurately
- Schedule service appointments and process reservations in person and by phone
- Assist members with retail purchases and club-service transactions at the point of sale
- Share membership information with prospective members and refer qualified leads to the sales team
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all VIVE programs, classes, and amenities
- Actively promote club services, events, and special offers
- Keep the front-desk area and common spaces clean, organized, and well stocked
- Manage food-service inventory and oversee locker and laundry service operations
- Maintain the communication log and lost-and-found ledger
- Complete injury, illness, and security incident reports promptly
- Provide emergency first aid to members and guests when needed
- Work collaboratively with all departments to support seamless club operations
- Take on additional duties as assigned by your supervisor
Additional Responsibilities
- Promote upcoming events, programs, and services to members during interactions
- Support overall club cleanliness and organization throughout your shift
- Attend site-wide meetings and ongoing training sessions
- Assist with incident documentation and safety reporting
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION
- Prior experience in a health or fitness club environment is a plus
- Familiarity with membership management or POS systems preferred
- Strong customer-service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Comfortable with basic computer applications and willing to learn new systems
- Current AED/CPR/First Aid certification
- Authorization to work in the United States
PHYSICAL & WORKING CONDITIONS
- Ability to accept responsibility for the health and safety of others
- Ability to stand for extended periods during a shift and lift up to 25 lbs
- Comfortable working in an active fitness club environment
- Adherence to all OSHA and VIVE safety standards
