My Serenity Place is a growing virtual behavioral health group practice seeking motivated, entrepreneurial, and compassionate New York Licensed Master Social Workers (LMSWs) who are ready to take an active role in developing their clinical practice.

This opportunity is designed for clinicians who value flexibility, independence, accountability, and professional growth.

We provide practice infrastructure, clinical support, supervision, administrative assistance, and referral opportunities. At the same time, clinicians are expected to take an active role in building, maintaining, and growing their own caseload rather than relying exclusively on practice-generated referrals.

What You'll Do

As an Associate Therapist, you will provide high-quality virtual psychotherapy while taking an active role in developing a sustainable caseload.

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and clinical evaluations.
• Develop individualized, measurable treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based psychotherapy using CBT, psychodynamic, behavioral, trauma-informed, and other clinically appropriate approaches.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate documentation.
• Monitor client progress and modify interventions as clinically indicated.
• Maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
• Participate consistently in clinical supervision, consultation, and professional development.
• Maintain compliance with practice policies and payer requirements.
• Develop and maintain a consistent clinical schedule.
• Respond promptly and professionally to prospective client referrals.
• Take initiative in converting appropriate inquiries and referrals into scheduled appointments.
• Develop professional referral relationships within your clinical areas of interest.
• Participate in appropriate practice outreach and clinician visibility efforts.
• Independently identify ethical opportunities to expand your caseload.
• Monitor your caseload and proactively respond to openings or changes in client volume.

Caseload Growth & Independence

Caseload development is an important responsibility of this position.

My Serenity Place provides clinicians with administrative infrastructure, insurance-based referral opportunities, practice visibility, supervision, and professional support. Successful clinicians are also expected to take personal ownership of developing and maintaining a sustainable caseload.

This includes the ability to:

• Independently identify appropriate strategies for attracting new clients.
• Develop relationships with referral partners and community professionals.
• Establish areas of clinical interest or specialization.
• Maintain appropriate availability for prospective clients.
• Respond quickly and professionally to new referrals.
• Participate in networking and practice-approved outreach activities.
• Maintain strong client engagement and continuity of care.
• Monitor caseload trends and proactively address openings.
• Collaborate with practice leadership on strategies for sustainable growth.

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State LMSW license in good standing.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Active and complete CAQH ProView profile with current attestation.
• Current individual professional liability/malpractice insurance.
• Ability to meet insurance credentialing and payer enrollment requirements.
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment-planning skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Professionalism, dependability, and accountability.
• Ability to work independently in a virtual environment.
• Motivation and demonstrated initiative to build and maintain a clinical caseload.
• Willingness to participate in clinical supervision, consultation, and professional development.

Telehealth & Remote Work Expectations

Because this is a 100% virtual position, clinicians are responsible for maintaining a professional remote environment.

Clinicians must have reliable high-speed internet; a working computer with professional video and audio capabilities; a functioning camera and microphone; and access to a quiet, private workspace appropriate for confidential therapy sessions.

Clinicians must also be able to access electronic health records, telehealth platforms, secure email, and other required practice systems while consistently maintaining client privacy and HIPAA-compliant telehealth practices.
