Position Title

Lead Mover / Crew Lead

Pay Range

$22–$25/hour

(Pay may increase based on experience, leadership, and licensing qualifications)


Core Responsibilities

Crew Leadership

  • Lead and supervise moving/labor crews during jobs
  • Assign tasks and maintain workflow efficiency
  • Ensure employees follow company safety procedures and policies
  • Maintain professionalism and accountability on job sites


Client Communication

  • Serve as the primary on-site contact for clients
  • Conduct pre-job walkthroughs
  • Confirm scope of work and report any changes or issues
  • Maintain professional customer service standards throughout each job


Household Goods Handling

  • Safely load, unload, move, and secure household goods and furniture
  • Ensure proper use of dollies, straps, blankets, and moving equipment
  • Protect customer property, floors, walls, and belongings during service


Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce proper lifting and safety procedures
  • Report accidents, injuries, damages, or incidents immediately
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with operational and transportation standards associated with Pennsylvania household goods carrier operations  


Documentation & Operational Duties

  • Complete job sheets/work orders accurately
  • Take before-and-after job photos when required
  • Track crew arrival/departure times
  • Verify completion of services and client sign-off


Vehicle & Equipment Oversight

  • Ensure moving equipment is used properly and safely
  • Help maintain organization and cleanliness of trucks/equipment
  • Report damaged or unsafe equipment immediately


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior moving, labor, warehouse, logistics, or transportation experience preferred
  • Leadership or crew supervision experience preferred
  • Ability to lift 75+ lbs repeatedly
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends when needed


Preferred Qualities for PUC/Operational Growth

Because the company intends to pursue and maintain Pennsylvania household goods carrier compliance, preference may be given to candidates with:

  • Prior experience working for licensed moving companies
  • Knowledge of professional moving procedures
  • Experience with crew management and customer-facing operations

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying
