The Opportunity:


The Senior Manager, Product Marketing will assist the brand marketing and product development teams to help shape the product strategies and go-to-market approach across the YSE Beauty portfolio. The ideal candidate brings strong beauty industry experience, a deep understanding of consumer insights, and a track record of delivering successful product launches in fast-paced, high-growth environments. This role reports into the VP of Marketing, will be hybrid / Los Angeles based and exempt.

 

What you’ll do:


  • Product Strategy & Positioning
  • Partner with PD, Education, Consumer Insights, and Marketing teams to incorporate expert and consumer feedback into product marketing.
  • Conduct ongoing competitive analysis to identify opportunities and category whitespace.
  • Lead strategy for sampling programs, curated sets, merchandising, and limited-edition initiatives across markets.
  • Develop and manage overall product architecture and key messaging
  • Provide Marketing innovation inputs including competitive analysis, pricing in the NPD process, clinical study recommendations and market research
  • Liaison between marketing, pd and operations team to ensure key timelines are met and troubleshooted
  • Manage and approve all artwork copy for current and new SKU's

 

  • Go To Market Planning & Execution
  • Support GTM planning and launch execution in partnership with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage launch timelines, communication calendars, and campaign alignment across cross-functional teams.
  • Support cross-functional meetings - providing key updates and seeking out critical cross-functional input to help move projects forward
  • Act as the liaison between product development, marketing and ops to ensure launches are on time and cross-functional needs are met.
  • Develop 12-month product marketing calendar by month with key messaging
  • Build monthly product marketing asset needs inside marketing grid.

 

  •  Performance & Business Metrics
  • Partner with Sales and Operations on pricing strategy and forecasting analysis.
  • Monitor assortment productivity and recommend portfolio optimization opportunities.
  • Track category KPIs and develop data-driven action plans to improve performance.
  • Prepare monthly metrics documents to be presented to Leadership teams

 

  • Market & Consumer Insights
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and evolving beauty trends to inform strategy.
  • Leverage consumer insights, sales data, and social listening to identify opportunities for innovation and product improvement.
  • Utilize third-party data platforms to analyze market performance and category dynamics
  • Create and field consumer surveys to uncover behaviors, preferences, and unmet needs

 

Experience / Qualifications:


  • 4+ years of experience in product marketing, GTM strategy, or project management in beauty.
  • Advanced excel skills, knowledge of AI tools (Chat GPT & Claude) preferred, familiar with marketing software such as Daash
  • Strong interest in beauty with an understanding of evolving consumer needs, trends, and the competitive landscape.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and organization; extremely detail-oriented
  • Positive, can-do attitude and collaborative leadership style
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work both collaboratively and independently, with both in-house teams and independent contractors/vendors

Compensation & Benefits:


  • Salary Range: $110,000 - $125,000, based on experience
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, AD&D insurance, and 401k
  • Generous product allowance

Salary

$110,000 - $125,000 per year
