Mr. Naturalz Salon caters to curly, kinky, and loc’d textures of hair. We specialize in maintaining healthy, natural textures, along with other services, such as: coloring, braiding, cuts and all stages of locing hair.

Mr Naturalz is seeking Stylists with a passion for natural curly, kinky and loc'd hair care that wants to become an expert! This is the perfect position for a individual looking to enter into the career, stylists who have no experience to years of experience but still needs coaching & support. Our model will allow them to grow their skills, with a team by their side. Full-time and part-time applicants are welcome to apply.

Stylist Pay

• Starting Pay: $20 during training period
• fully developed pay structure 40%+ Commission + client tips
• Eligible for benefits & STO after 90 days

• A Stylist with a passion for curly, kinky and loc'd hair, healthy hair care practices and continuing education. 
• Coachable 
• Hardworking, goal orientated and be open to learning the Mr Naturalz way and techniques. 
• Willingness to participate with our social team to advertise the business
• Works well independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to build and maintain strong client relationships. 
• Willingness to offer services within our standards at all times.
• Physical requirements of this position include: standing / walking for sustained periods of time, lifting up to 10 pounds / continuous repetitive movement with fingers, hands, wrists and arms, and continuous grasping and reaching / Continually required to bend, stoop, and talk 
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Skills

• Expert Shampoo Service & treatments experience is a plus.
• Natural hair cutting experience is a plus.
• Curl Definition experience is a plus.
• Loc Styling and maintenance experience is a plus.
• Braiding experience is a plus.

Position Job Duties:

• Be on time for shift
• Clock In / Clock out for shifts
• Maintain a positive attitude and contribute towards a quality work environment
• Perform services within time standards
• Adhere to the uniform standard (including hair)
• Complete open / close tasks per shift 
• Follow our salon standards for services, behavior and general workflow
• Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products while educating and training clients in these areas
• Keep a clean & hygienic work space
• Service clients within our standards for quality of service and time standards
• Develop professional relationships with regular clients & welcome new clients
• Assist fellow stylists with services during downtown to ensure no wait time for clients
• Communicate effectively with Front Desk team about service pricing and client notes
• Participate in creating content with the social media team for salon marketing
• Keep up to date & innovative with the latest styles & trends for Natural Hair
• Offer expert level Salon experiences with every client visit
• Participate in Check Ins & Reviews 
• Offer client service Redo’s at no-charge 
• Maintain a consistent, regular attendance record
• Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product 
• Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the salon’s policies and procedures
• Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or clients in the salon that require attention
• Maintain complete confidentiality in all client matters in accordance with company policy
• Handle client questions and concerns professionally 
• Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by clients ensuring complete client satisfaction
• Possess the ability to work without direct supervision
• Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the salon
• Assist in all areas of salon operations, as requested by management
• Work during required working days
• Be flexible with your schedule, supporting the needs of the salon
