Hotel Maintenance




The Maintenance person is responsible for maintaining the facility and equipment associated with guest rooms and public areas. This role requires working technical knowledge of building maintenance and construction trades. 


  • Provide service and repairs to property equipment including electrical, plumbing, gas, fire and safety, HVAC refrigeration, and interior/exterior paint 
  • Respond to guest calls for maintenance requests in guestrooms or public areas in a timely and professional manner  
  • Understand and operate electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and boiler systems
  • Ensure all department safety regulations are met, including the security of the guest rooms and property access
  • Perform all tasks using appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Test, troubleshoot, and perform repairs on all types of equipment 
  • Coordinate preventative facility maintenance and repairs
  • Perform other duties as assigned and requested to meet the needs of the business


  • Ability and desire to solve complex issues in a professional and timely manner 
  • Prior experience in a hotel or multi-unit properties
  • Strong desire to complete tasks in a satisfactory manner


  • A minimum of one year in a maintenance-related job required 
  • Construction trade knowledge and skill, including electrical, plumbing, painting, locksmith, and carpentry required 
  • Flexible in schedule and willing to meet the demands of a complex operation 
  • Experience with the safe use of hand and mechanical tools 
  • Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight
