Morse Clinics is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Specimen Collector to join our growing team. As a Specimen Collector, you'll play an important role in supporting patient care by ensuring accurate specimen collection while treating every patient with dignity, professionalism, and respect.

What You'll Do
- Collect urine specimens using established chain-of-custody procedures.
- Perform blood draws in accordance with clinic policies and procedures.
- Verify patient identity and maintain accurate documentation.
- Label, seal, and prepare specimens for laboratory transport.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant collection area.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
- Recognize and report specimen irregularities or suspected tampering.
- Assist with front desk responsibilities, including patient check-in, scheduling, answering phones, and other administrative duties as needed.
- Communicate effectively with providers and team members in person, through Google Chat, and via email to ensure efficient clinic operations.
- Send patient appointment confirmations and assist with appointment-related communications.
- Support daily clinic operations through basic clerical and administrative tasks.
- Follow all safety, compliance, and emergency procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous healthcare, laboratory, specimen collection, or phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Experience performing venipuncture/blood draws is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and respectful in sensitive situations.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Methasoft is preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
- Ability to safely handle biohazard materials.
