Moonshot Games Digital Content Producer Noblesville, IN · Full time Company website

Own and grow Moonshot’s digital presence by planning, creating, producing, publishing, and repurposing engaging content across streams, YouTube, social media, podcasts, advertising, and emerging platforms.

About Moonshot Games

Google defines a "moonshot" as an extremely ambitious and innovative project. Though Moonshot Games started as just one retail store in downtown Noblesville, we currently operate two retail stores in Central Indiana, a YouTube live stream Moonshot Rips, a traveling card-show business, and an e-commerce storefront. Today we represent more than just a handful of game stores. Ours is a place for people without a place. A safe spot to visit, play, laugh, and learn within a loving, supportive community. Yet this dream wouldn't have become reality without our amazing staff and customers, because it was too big to build by our will alone. It was Noblesville's dream first, but we will continue to serve our communities with plenty more big ideas as we reach for the stars.

Description

Position Summary

This is a hands-on content role. The person in this position will not only help develop ideas and strategy, but will also be responsible for turning those ideas into finished content — scheduling streams, creating thumbnails, writing titles and descriptions, filming and editing short-form content, producing social media posts and ads, and keeping Moonshot's digital channels active and growing.

A major focus of this role will be taking the content already being created through Moonshot's streams, events, podcast, personalities, and community and finding more ways to use it. One stream or filming session should have the potential to become YouTube content, Shorts, TikToks, Facebook/Instagram Reels, promotional clips, podcast content, and other social posts.

This role will also help Moonshot explore the next phase of digital content and selling, including new platforms such as Whatnot and other emerging opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Stream Management & Production

  • Coordinate and maintain the Moonshot streaming schedule.
  • Create compelling titles, descriptions, thumbnails, and other assets for streams.
  • Ensure streams are properly scheduled and published across the appropriate platforms.
  • Maintain an organized content and production calendar.
  • Review completed streams for opportunities to create additional content.

2. YouTube Management

  • Manage Moonshot's YouTube content calendar.
  • Create and optimize video titles, descriptions, thumbnails, playlists, and other channel elements.
  • Identify opportunities to turn long-form streams and videos into additional content.
  • Create YouTube Shorts from existing and newly filmed content.
  • Develop recurring YouTube content concepts that fit the Moonshot brand and audience.
  • Help improve consistency, presentation, reach, and engagement on the channel.
  • Review channel performance and use results to improve future content.

3. Content Creation & Advertising

  • Create promotional content for Stream, podcast, events, and other Moonshot initiatives.
  • Produce short-form video advertisements for social platforms.
  • Help develop creative concepts, scripts, hooks, and calls to action.
  • Coordinate with team members who need to appear in content.
  • Build a library of usable photos, videos, clips, graphics, and other content assets.
  • Look for opportunities throughout normal Moonshot operations to capture content.

4. Podcast Production

  • Assist with podcast setup and production.
  • Edit and prepare podcast episodes for publication.
  • Create titles, descriptions, thumbnails, and supporting assets.
  • Publish episodes to the appropriate platforms.
  • Identify clips and moments that can be repurposed into Shorts, Reels, TikToks, and other social content.
  • Help develop topics and recurring podcast concepts.

5. Content Planning & Ideas

  • Maintain an ongoing pipeline of content ideas.
  • Stay aware of trends within gaming, TCGs, collectibles, social media, and digital content.
  • Develop recurring content series rather than relying entirely on one-off ideas.
  • Bring ideas to the team proactively.
  • Identify opportunities around new releases, major events, tournaments, conventions, and industry news.
  • Balance promotional content with entertaining, educational, community-focused, and personality-driven content.

6. New Platforms & Growth

  • Research opportunities for Moonshot to expand onto additional platforms.
  • Help develop and launch Moonshot's presence on platforms such as Whatnot.
  • Determine what content and selling formats make sense for each platform.
  • Assist with testing new content concepts and channels.
  • Document successful processes so new platforms can become repeatable parts of Moonshot's operations.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means Moonshot's digital presence is no longer something that happens only when someone has time to work on it.

Instead:

  • Streams are scheduled and promoted consistently.
  • YouTube videos have strong thumbnails, titles, and descriptions.
  • Long-form content regularly produces additional short-form content.
  • Shorts, TikToks, and Reels are published consistently.
  • Social media channels remain active.
  • Content is planned ahead.
  • The podcast has a consistent production process.
  • New content ideas are continually being tested.
  • Moonshot develops a recognizable voice and presence online.
  • Content performance is measured and used to improve future decisions.
  • New platforms are explored and launched intentionally.

Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate:

  • Has experience creating and managing social media content.
  • Is comfortable filming and editing video.
  • Understands short-form vertical video.
  • Can create visually compelling thumbnails and basic graphics.
  • Has strong written communication skills.
  • Can write engaging titles, descriptions, captions, and hooks.
  • Understands YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook content.
  • Is highly organized and capable of managing a content calendar.
  • Can manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Is comfortable appearing on camera when needed but does not necessarily need to be the primary on-camera personality.
  • Can work collaboratively with different personalities and departments.
  • Is proactive and does not need every content idea assigned to them.
  • Understands that content creation requires experimentation and iteration.
  • Is interested in gaming, TCGs, collectibles, or adjacent communities.

Experience with live streaming, podcast production, paid social advertising, YouTube analytics, or platforms such as Whatnot is a plus.
