At Montgomery County Counseling Center our goal is to provide top-notch therapy services for the whole family! Our mission has always been to provide the perfect balance of compassionate and skilled therapy. We use research-based counseling models to provide relationship-informed systemically minded therapy. Description

The ideal candidate is self-driven, motivated, independent, communicative, enthusiastic, and direct. Our therapists must be able to maintain strong boundaries with families with intense emotions. Candidates must hold an active Maryland license in a counseling field. Additional licenses in DC or VA would be cherries on top! Any MCCC team member must be affirming of all people and all families to be considered.


Prefered Experience: Completed training in evidenced based therapy practices such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy or Radically Open - Dialectical Behavior Therapy.


Reports to: Clinical Director



Responsibilities


Conduct individual and DBT skills groups group within the scope of DBT theoretical frameworks.


Provide thorough assessment and orient clients and families to the practice and scope of therapeutic work.


Maintain confidentiality of client records and keep files up to date with diligent and effectively written clinical notes.


Attend weekly staff meetings and DBT Team, attend weekly DBT consultation team meetings. (We work together!)


Consult with other members of a client’s treatment team, regardless of if they are internal or external to the MCCC team.


Maintain supervision in accordance with licensure needs and/or maintain current licensure per state regulations. If licensed at the graduate level, complete supervision towards full clinical licensure in accordance with state regulations (Supervision is provided to you by MCCC’s clinical director).


Engage in learning opportunities to further your knowledge of the field and your work, not only for licensure requirements, but because it is our value!


Maintain ethically based practice as outlined by your professions code of ethics.


LG Level Clinicians 

Required weekly clinical supervision with clinical directors throughout their employment with MCCC until they reach fully licensed status.


LC Level Clinicians

Newly hired LC level clinicians are required to meet with the clinical director at least monthly (more if desired) during their first 3 months of employment with MCCC. Supervision will continue at least monthly thereafter, or at the discretion of either the clinical director or preference of the clinician. 



Salary

$61,000 - $86,000 per year
