Job Title: Assembly & Service Technician (Sports Technology)

 

Location: Chicago, IL (Onsite)

Travel Required: Yes (Approximately 40%)

Job Summary:

We’re looking for a mechanically-minded and travel-ready technician to join our team in Chicago. You’ll play a critical role assembling Seeker Robots, supporting customers with installs and repairs, and traveling to troubleshoot and implement solutions in the field. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with technical skills and a passion for football—especially if you’ve worked in equipment or operations within a football program.

 

Key Responsibilities:

*Assembly and Maintenance*

-         Assemble Seeker Robots and related equipment at our Chicago Headquarters

-         Conduct routine diagnostics and maintenance of robotic systems

-         Support quality control efforts and documentation of system builds

*Customer Implementation & Field Support*

-         Travel to team facilities to deliver, install and test systems

-         Diagnose and repair hardware issues onsite and remotely

-         Train customer staff on hardware basics and routine care

*Internal Coordination & Feedback*

-         Work closely with the Customer Success and Sales teams to log and resolve service tasks and system issues

-         Collaborate with Engineering team to improve field reliability

-         Document and share field feedback to support product development and process improvements

-         Create reports and presentations as necessary to management on status of assembly, servicing and reliability

 

Qualifications:

-         Hands on mechanical aptitude and comfort using tools

-         Experience in technical assembly, field service or repair roles

-         Ability to lift up to ~75 lbs and work in athletic training environments

-         Valid Driver’s License and ability and willingness to travel frequently, sometimes on short notice

-         Excellent problem-solving skills and professionalism in customer settings

-         Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills

 

Bonus Qualifications:

-         Bachelor’s Degree

-         Experience as an equipment manager or operations professional within the collegiate or professional football space

-         Familiarity with the Seeker Robot and/or former user or operator of the Seeker

 

Compensation & Benefits:

-         Salary: $55,000 - $75,000 annually (depending on experience)

-         Benefits: 75% premium coverage for health, dental and vision
