The Peer Support Specialist at Mom.ME provides crucial emotional and practical support to individuals facing challenges associated with physical and maternal mental health. This role involves sharing your personal recovery or lived experiences in a therapeutic setting, providing peer support, and empowering clients throughout their maternal health journey. Responsibilities also include developing and delivering educational presentations and facilitating group sessions aimed at promoting community engagement and wellness.



  • Provide peer support and mentorship, using personal recovery experiences to offer therapeutic support, focusing on both physical health and mental well-being.
  • Develop and facilitate educational presentations and workshops tailored to the needs and interests of clients.
  • Lead group sessions that foster wellness, community engagement, and peer connections.
  • Assist clients in accessing resources and services to support their health and overall well-being.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and trust, creating a secure and supportive environment for clients.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance support capabilities and maintain proficiency in relevant technologies.
  • Provide night-time on-call crisis support via warmline.
  • Provide daytime face-to-face crisis intervention support via warmline.
  • Act as liaison between the patient and the clinical staff

  • Certification in peer support or significant lived experience pertinent to maternal health.
  • If not certified, must be willing to become certified within 60-90 days of being hired.
  • Proven experience in providing peer support within a healthcare or community setting is not required but is a plus.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Must be able to effectively manage a case load of 20-25 patients weekly.
  • Proficiency in computer usage, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and electronic health records.
  • A thorough understanding of both physical and maternal mental health challenges, combined with a committed passion for assisting others.



$14 - $16.5 per hour
