We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work directly with individuals with autism, implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role is crucial in providing support and guidance to clients and their stakeholders, helping them achieve their personal goals and improve their quality of life.
Description
Responsibilities:
Implement individualized behavioral intervention plans as directed by the supervising BCBA.
Collect and maintain accurate data on client progress, behaviors, and interventions.
Engage clients in therapeutic activities that promote skill development and behavior management.
Maintain medical records and documentation in compliance with organizational policies.
Collaborate with team members to ensure a coordinated approach to client care.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in ABA.
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other professionals regarding client progress and needs.
Skills:
Thorough understanding of behavioral therapy principles and techniques.
Knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health.
Proficient in applied behavior analysis (ABA) methodologies.
Ability to effectively manage challenging behaviors while promoting positive outcomes.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members.
Strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate medical records and documentation.
Requirements:
High school diploma (or equivalent)
Must be at least 18 years old
Must pass a background check
Reliable transportation to and from scheduled sessions
First Aid / CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification through a hands-on course
