Job Description
MOLLY TEA is seeking dependable and organized Kitchen Staff to support food preparation, ingredient preparation, sanitation, and back-of-house operations at our Glendale location.
Kitchen Staff play an important role in maintaining product quality, food safety, cleanliness, and efficient store operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare food ingredients, toppings, snacks, and other kitchen items according to company recipes and procedures.
- Wash, cut, portion, cook, heat, assemble, and store ingredients as required.
- Prepare ingredients needed by the tea bar and storefront teams.
- Maintain proper food temperatures and follow food safety requirements.
- Follow labeling, dating, FIFO, storage, and expiration-control procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, sinks, counters, refrigerators, storage areas, and floors.
- Wash dishes, utensils, containers, and food-preparation equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management when ingredients or supplies are running low.
- Receive, inspect, organize, and properly store deliveries.
- Help maintain walk-in/refrigerated and dry-storage areas in an organized condition.
- Follow allergen, cross-contamination, and sanitation procedures.
- Assist with waste tracking and portion control.
- Complete opening, closing, and daily cleaning checklists.
- Support beverage and front-of-house operations when needed.
- Follow all safety procedures when using kitchen equipment and cleaning products.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant, kitchen, food-preparation, or food-service experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation preferred.
- Ability to follow recipes, procedures, and instructions accurately.
- Organized, dependable, and able to work efficiently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable standing for long periods and performing physical tasks.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Food Handler Card required as applicable.
