
Experienced Pharmacy Technician (3+ Years) The Pharmacy Technician supports pharmacists in the accurate preparation and dispensing of medications while ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations and providing excellent patient care. This role requires strong technical knowledge, efficiency, and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment. The technician will serve as a key contributor to daily pharmacy operations and may assist with training junior staff.
Role and Responsibilities
● Participate in the daily operations of the pharmacy while under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
● Maintains pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed medications and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt; removing outdated drugs.
● Supporting related clinical pharmacy tasks such as vaccinations, MTM, and patient adherence.
● Proficient in prescription processing, filling, check out, and related healthcare record maintenance
● Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
● Organizes medications for the pharmacist to dispense by transcribing medication orders and prescriptions; preparing labels; calculating quantities; maintaining clinical services and other pharmaceutical therapies.
● Prepares reports by collecting and summarizing information.
● Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
● Minimum 5 years of pharmacy experience with 3 years as a pharmacy technician.
● Walk 3+ miles a day & lift 30 pounds
● Licensed Pharmacy Technician (PTCB recommended)
● Enthusiastic and friendly team players
● 24+ hours/week availability
● Bilingual Spanish, Hmong, Laos, Cambodian, Tagalog (recommended)
● APHA/PTCB certified immunization administration (recommended)
● BLS
