Job Description:
As the Executive Chef, you will oversee the culinary operations for all catering events, ensuring that each menu is thoughtfully crafted and executed to perfection. You will work closely with event planners, clients, and your culinary team to deliver extraordinary food experiences while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and design creative, diverse, and seasonally inspired menus for a wide range of events and clients.
- Oversee the preparation and execution of all catering orders, ensuring consistency, quality, and timely delivery.
- Lead, train, and manage a team of kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during events.
- Work with vendors to source high-quality ingredients and manage inventory levels.
- Collaborate with event coordinators and clients to customize menus based on preferences, dietary restrictions, and event requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment in compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Control food costs and manage budgeting for catering events, ensuring profitability while maintaining quality.
- Innovate and stay up-to-date with culinary trends, incorporating them into your catering menus and services.
- Assist with the recruitment and training of new kitchen staff.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a chef in a high-volume kitchen or catering environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional knowledge of various cuisines and techniques.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with clients, vendors, and the team.
- Culinary degree or relevant certifications preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years in a senior culinary role, with a focus on catering.
