Position Summary: We are seeking a talented and motivated Catering Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in catering, a passion for food, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. As the Catering Sous Chef, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing the kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist the Executive Chef in planning and executing menus for catering events.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards.
  • Manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Monitor food inventory, order supplies, and manage food costs to meet budgetary goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
  • Collaborate with the events team to ensure seamless service and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen workspace.
  • Assist in developing new recipes and menu items based on current trends and customer feedback.
  • Work off site events as event chef for grilling, carving, etc.

Qualifications:


  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a catering environment.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
