Overview
The Product & Inventory Manager is responsible for owning the full lifecycle of MOD BIKES products — from inventory planning and supply chain coordination to product development, quality control, and on-site product accuracy.
This role bridges operations, product, and supply chain, ensuring the right products are available, built correctly, and continuously improved.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Warehouse
- Monitor inventory levels across all SKUs and locations
- Plan and place domestic inventory orders to maintain optimal stock levels
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and system integrity
- Ensure warehouse organization, labeling, and storage processes are efficient and scalable
- Identify slow-moving or overstocked items and recommend actions
Supply Chain & Purchasing (International)
- Forecast demand and place purchase orders with overseas manufacturers
- Manage production timelines, lead times, and delivery schedules
- Communicate with suppliers on quantities, timelines, and order specifications
- Coordinate shipments, container planning, and inbound logistics
- Track orders from production through delivery
Supplier & Manufacturer Communication
- Serve as the main point of contact between MOD BIKES and manufacturers
- Communicate product requirements, updates, and feedback
- Report and resolve product issues, defects, and inconsistencies
- Ensure alignment on expectations for quality, packaging, and specifications
Product Ownership & Development
- Own product lifecycle from concept to production
- Collaborate with management, engineers, and designers on new product development
- Define product specifications, features, and requirements
- Coordinate packaging design and product presentation
- Keep product development organized, documented, and on schedule
Sourcing & Vendor Research
- Identify and evaluate new suppliers and manufacturers
- Source new products, components, and accessories
- Negotiate pricing, MOQs, and terms with vendors
- Continuously look for opportunities to improve cost, quality, and efficiency
Website & Product Data Accuracy
- Ensure all product information on the website is accurate and up to date
- Maintain consistency between product specs, manuals, packaging, and listings
- Upload and manage product data, specs, and supporting materials
- Work with marketing to ensure clear and accurate product communication
Quality Control & Process Management
- Develop and maintain QC standards and documentation
- Work with manufacturers to implement and enforce QC processes
- Review production samples and approve/reject based on standards
- Track quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Ensure consistency across batches and versions
Process & Systems Management
- Build and maintain organized workflows for inventory, purchasing, and product development
- Document SOPs for all key processes
- Continuously improve systems to increase efficiency and reduce errors
- Work with tools such as Shopify, Asana, Slack, and inventory systems
Qualifications
- Experience in inventory management, supply chain, or product management
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Experience working with overseas manufacturers (China preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Comfortable working with technical product specifications
- Proficiency with modern tools (Shopify, Asana, spreadsheets, etc.)
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Flexible availability for evening communication with overseas partners (primarily Asia time zones)
