About the Role

MK Homecare is seeking dependable, compassionate Caregivers to provide high-quality, person-centered care to clients in their homes. Caregivers help clients maintain safety, comfort, dignity, and independence while following each client’s individualized care plan.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
• Provide mobility, positioning, and transfer assistance as required by the client’s care plan
• Prepare meals and assist with eating when needed
• Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support
• Perform light housekeeping related to the client’s care and living environment
• Assist with reminders and routine daily activities
• Observe and report changes in a client’s condition, behavior, or needs
• Complete required care notes and documentation accurately and on time
• Follow client care plans, company procedures, and safety requirements
• Maintain client privacy, dignity, and confidentiality
• Communicate professionally with clients, families, supervisors, and other members of the care team
• Arrive on time and maintain dependable attendance for scheduled shifts

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to provide respectful and compassionate care
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
• Ability to complete required documentation
• Ability to safely perform the physical duties required for assigned clients
• Must successfully complete all required onboarding, training, background study, and employment requirements
• Must comply with MK Homecare policies and applicable state requirements

Desired Skills

• Previous caregiving, home care, healthcare, or direct support experience
• Experience assisting older adults or individuals with disabilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, professionalism, and good judgment
• Ability to recognize and report changes in a client’s condition
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently while following a care plan
• Dependable, responsible, and respectful approach to client care
