Schedule Requirements:
- Must be able to work weekends and have some schedule flexibility, as Mix Bakeshop operates 7 days a week (364 days a year).
- The shift begins as early as 5:00 AM and ends between 1:00 PM and 3:30 PM.
- 4 consecutive days.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Carefully and efficiently assemble daily sandwiches for ReMix and Mix Cafes.
- Drive pastries, bread, and other goods to ReMix Coffee Bar.
- Deliver and restock bread at the Ashland Food Co-op.
- Run necessary errands.
- Clean and prepare the station for the following day upon return to Mix.
- Assist with morning bake-off setup or small prep duties, such as making Cones.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor when interacting with vendors and the community.
- This is a mostly self-managed role requiring efficiency, time management, and adherence to deadlines.
- Report to the Prep Baker I for duties other than delivery and sandwich making.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to lift and push 50–80 pounds daily.
- Comfortable driving and working in various weather conditions.
- Able to frequently enter and exit the van and use stairs throughout the shift.
- Physical stamina to stand and work for approximately 8–10 hours per day.
- Proficiency in using a handcart/platform cart.
- Ability to perform basic math.
- Must possess a valid Oregon Food Handlers Card.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Must be over 20 years of age for insurance purposes.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Base wage is $18.00 per hour plus tips.
