About the Role
The Lead Academic Coach is a working instructional leader responsible for developing tutors, ensuring instructional quality, and driving student academic outcomes.
You will lead both people and performance:
- coaching instructors
- monitoring instructional quality
- analyzing student progress data
- supporting families
- modeling strong instructional practice
This is a hands-on leadership role where you both coach and contribute directly.
Key Responsibilities
Instructional Leadership
- Train, coach, and develop a team of instructors
- Model best-practice instruction (All subject areas)
- Observe sessions and provide actionable feedback
Data & Performance Oversight
- Track student progress using Google Sheets
- Identify trends in performance and recommend interventions
- Support fidelity to instructional systems and coaching model
Curriculum & Program Support
- Support design and refinement of learning experiences
- Help develop enrichment programs, workshops, and camps
- Improve instructional systems in collaboration with leadership
Family & Team Communication
- Communicate student progress clearly to families
- Support enrollment conversations when needed
- Maintain a positive, solution-oriented tone in all interactions
Operational Support
- Assist with scheduling, center flow, and daily operations as needed
- Support opening/closing procedures during shifts

Required Experience
- 2+ years in instructional leadership, coaching, or education management including directly supervising staff or teams
- Strong math proficiency (Algebra II or higher)
- Experience teaching or tutoring
- Comfortable using Google Sheets for tracking data
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Experience
- Experience designing curriculum or learning programs
- Background in tutoring centers, schools, or academic programs
- Experience working with families or customer-facing education roles
