Description

About Minneapolis Integrative Medicine Center

Minneapolis Integrative Medicine Center (MIMC) is a private, cash-pay integrative medicine practice dedicated to helping patients better understand their health, address underlying contributors to illness, and pursue personalized, evidence-informed care.

We take a comprehensive approach to health, combining conventional medical management with integrative strategies, advanced diagnostic testing, and individualized treatment plans. Our clinicians work with patients across a broad spectrum of health concerns, utilizing comprehensive laboratory testing, microbiome analysis, genomics, hormone evaluation, and other diagnostic tools to inform clinical decision-making.

At MIMC, we believe exceptional healthcare is about more than clinical expertise. It is about listening deeply, building meaningful relationships, communicating clearly, and creating an experience where patients feel heard, supported, and confident in their care.

We are a collaborative, growing practice that values clinical excellence, hospitality, accountability, and a shared commitment to expanding access to integrative medicine.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled, personable, and highly accountable Nurse Practitioner to join our clinical team. This provider will manage their own panel of patients across a wide spectrum of health concerns, taking a comprehensive, integrative approach to assessment, treatment, and ongoing care.

In addition to direct patient care, this role has an important practice-wide responsibility: supporting medication management for the clinic, including medication counseling visits, prescription-related workflows, and collaboration with other clinicians in partnership with our medical director.

This is a hands-on clinical position that requires excellent medical judgment, strong organizational skills, and a genuine commitment to the patient experience. The right candidate understands that success in a private, cash-pay practice requires more than providing excellent care during appointments. It also requires follow-through, teamwork, responsiveness, and a willingness to contribute to the growth and success of the practice.

We are looking for a provider who is both a great clinician and a natural relationship builder: someone who is warm, engaging, professional, and motivated to help patients access a more comprehensive approach to their health.

What You'll Do

1. Manage Your Own Patient Panel

  • Provide comprehensive, individualized care for patients presenting with a diverse range of acute, chronic, and complex health concerns within your training, licensure, and clinical scope.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations, interpret diagnostic testing, develop personalized treatment plans, and manage ongoing patient care.

  • Provide in-person care and telemedicine visits when appropriate.
  • Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation and ensure patient questions, results, and follow-up recommendations are addressed.
  • Recognize when additional evaluation, referral, or collaboration with another clinician is appropriate.

2. Support Clinic-Wide Medication Management

  • Support medication management workflows for the entire clinic, including prescription coordination, refill requests, medication reviews, and medication-related patient questions.
  • Host dedicated medication counseling visits for patients across the practice, educating them on medication indications, benefits, risks, potential side effects, interactions, monitoring, and appropriate use.
  • Collaborate with other clinicians to promote safe, consistent, evidence-informed medication practices and continuity of care.
  • Ensure medication requests are appropriately triaged, reviewed, documented, and routed to the clinician authorized to make the relevant prescribing or treatment decision.

  • Create a warm, welcoming, professional, and personalized experience consistent with MIMC's premium, relationship-centered model.
  • Build trust through empathy, active listening, approachability, and thoughtful communication.

  • Help patients feel heard, understood, and supported as they navigate their health concerns.
  • Communicate proactively and professionally with patients and team members, particularly when coordinating care or addressing concerns.
  • Understand the expectations of a cash-pay practice, where patients invest directly in their healthcare and value access, responsiveness, transparency, and personalized service.
  • Demonstrate consistent hospitality and professionalism throughout every patient interaction.

5. Contribute to the Clinical Team & Practice Operations

  • Participate in team meetings, case discussions, training, and practice improvement initiatives.
