Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate, and evidence-based psychotherapy and counseling to clients as scheduled in individual and family therapy settings.
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments and supportive psychotherapy.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans addressing mental health issues aligned with clients' goals and objectives.
- Provide crisis management, including crisis intervention and trauma-informed care when necessary, to ensure client safety and stabilization.
- Complete clinical assessments and documentation as necessary, including but not limited to treatment plan updates, assessments, psychotherapy progress notes, etc.
- Responsible for scheduling individual appointments as directed by management.
- Maintain good standing with the appropriate board and insurance entities.
- Complete all recommended continuing education requirements.
- Adhere to organizational policies, confidentiality laws, professional codes of ethics, and relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Demonstrate understanding of ethical standards, clients’ rights and responsibilities and professional boundaries.
- Attend and participate in all staff and other departmental meetings as needed.
- Secure client information per HIPAA standards.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LCSW, LPC, or equivalent).
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Licensed therapist with the Oregon Licensing Board: Candidates must hold active licenses in good standing with their respective boards.
- At least 2 years of experience working in the behavioral health field.
- Strong skills in individual and family psychotherapy and counseling methodologies.
- Demonstrate professional and effective communication skills with clients, their loved ones and other professionals.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards in mental health practice.
- Preferred qualifications include the ability to provide IFS (Internal Family Systems) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy.
