JOB DESCRIPTION

Construction Foreman

Full-Time | Field Operations

 

Position Summary

The Construction Foreman is a key hands-on leader responsible for executing and overseeing residential remodeling and property restoration projects from start to finish. This role requires broad construction expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to manage multiple aspects of a job site — from rough work through finished installations — while maintaining quality, safety, and schedule.

 

Key Responsibilities

Site Management & Safety

•      Secure and prepare job sites prior to project commencement

•      Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout each project

•      Enforce all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines on-site

•      Coordinate site access, staging of materials, and equipment logistics

 

Construction & Skilled Trade Work

•      Perform demolition of existing structures, finishes, and systems as required

•      Execute structural framing for walls, floors, ceilings, and openings

•      Perform and oversee electrical work including rough-in and finish installation

•      Complete plumbing rough-in and finish work per project specifications

•      Install drywall, tape, mud, and texture to a finish-ready standard

•      Perform interior and exterior painting

•      Install flooring including hardwood, LVP, tile, and carpet prep

•      Install siding, exterior trim, and weatherproofing elements

•      Install cabinets, countertops, and all associated hardware

•      Complete interior trim, door, and millwork installations

 

Supervision & Team Leadership

•      Supervise and direct general laborers and subcontractors on-site

•      Assign daily tasks and ensure work meets quality and timeline expectations

•      Mentor crew members and promote a professional, productive work culture

 

Materials & Procurement

•      Purchase and manage materials and supplies, ensuring cost-effectiveness

•      Track material usage and maintain accurate records for project cost reporting

•      Coordinate deliveries and manage on-site material storage

•      Secure and maintain company vehicles and equipment, ensuring proper storage and upkeep between jobs

 

Inspections & Compliance

•      Work directly with building inspectors to schedule and pass required inspections

•      Ensure all work is completed to code and meets permit requirements

•      Communicate inspection outcomes and any required corrections to management

 

Qualifications & Requirements

•      5+ years of hands-on experience in residential construction and remodeling

•      Demonstrated proficiency across multiple trades: framing, electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, flooring, cabinetry, and trim

•      Prior experience supervising crews or leading job site operations

•      Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications

•      Knowledge of local building codes, permitting processes, and inspection requirements

•      Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

•      Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

•      Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work in varying conditions

 

Preferred

•      OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification

•      Experience with property restoration and rehabilitation projects

•      Familiarity with insurance-related restoration work
