Job Description: Milestones Pediatric & Maternal Nutrition is seeking a part-time event coordinator. The Event Coordinator will be responsible for marketing, coordinating, and executing a variety of family-focused events, workshops, and classes. They will play a pivotal role in creating memorable and enriching experiences for our community members, ensuring that each event is well-planned, executed seamlessly, and welcoming. Responsibilities:


  1. Event Planning & Coordination:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive event plans, including timelines, budgets, and logistics for family events and classes.
  • Coordinate all aspects of event logistics, such as venue selection, vendor management, equipment rentals, catering, and transportation.
  • Collaborate with internal team members and external partners to ensure smooth execution of events and classes.


2. Marketing & Promotion:


  • Develop marketing strategies to promote family events and classes, utilizing various channels such as social media, email campaigns, and partnerships with local organizations.
  • Create compelling promotional materials, including flyers, posters, and digital content, to attract attendees and generate interest in upcoming events.
  • Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of promotional efforts and make data-driven decisions for future campaigns.


3. Participant Engagement & Satisfaction:


  • Serve as the main point of contact for event participants, providing friendly, timely, and helpful communication before, during, and after events.
  • Solicit feedback from attendees to evaluate event satisfaction and identify areas for improvement, incorporating feedback into future event planning.
  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment at events, ensuring that all participants feel valued and supported throughout their experience.


4. Administrative Duties:


  • Maintain accurate records of event-related expenses, invoices, and contracts, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.
  • Handle registration and ticketing processes for events and classes, managing attendee lists and addressing any inquiries or issues.
  • Assist with other administrative tasks and projects as needed to support the overall success of the organization.


Work Schedule: 6-10 hours per week


Starting Pay: $20-25/hour


Minimum Experience/Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, event management, communications, or a related field or equivalent experience in a event coordinator rule


Requirements: 


  • Reliable transportation to the downtown Cary office and to events in the community.
  • Availability to work at least 6-10 hours per week, including some evening and weekends.
  • Proven experience in event planning and coordination, particularly in the context of family or parenting-related events.
  • Strong marketing skills, with the ability to create engaging content and effectively promote events through various channels.
  • Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking abilities, with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders, including vendors, partners, and event attendees.
  • Passion for supporting parents and babies, with a genuine commitment to creating positive and impactful experiences within the community.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office & Google Suite.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and developments in the field of event coordination and marketing.
