Lead our tax preparation practice and serve as the go-to resource for client and advisor tax matters, with a defined path toward CFP® certification and expanded advisory responsibilities.
Milestone Financial Planning, LLC (fiduciary and B-Corporation) strives to make a difference in people's lives. Our clients (75% local in NH and MA) rely on us to provide comprehensive financial and retirement planning services, emphasizing reducing lifetime taxes. We are a small team of professionals who value the impact of doing meaningful work for our clients while maintaining a work/life balance.
We heavily emphasize tax planning and offer tax preparation to clients directly. This role sits at the center of that practice, working closely with our advisors and operations team to make sure every client's tax picture is handled with care and precision.
At every level, we emphasize that your ideas and insights are encouraged and highly valued. We believe that innovation and collaboration thrive when everyone's unique perspectives and contributions are acknowledged and respected. Whether you're just starting out or have years of experience, your input is vital to our collective success.
You will take primary responsibility for our tax preparation practice, reviewing and signing approximately 200 individual and small business returns each season, using Lacerte. You'll serve as the firm's go-to resource for tax questions from clients and advisors, and you'll handle all IRS and state tax notices and correspondence on clients' behalf, from initial review through resolution.
Outside of tax season, you'll participate in year-round tax planning — Roth conversions, withholding strategy, charitable giving, equity compensation, and small business planning — using Holistiplan, and you'll support a Senior Advisor with financial planning work as a Planning Associate (or as an Associate Advisor, once you hold or earn your CFP® certification), including preparing financial plans and joining client meetings.
You will be supported by our tax, operations, and compliance teams, and mentored by a Senior Advisor to help develop your career beyond tax into financial planning and advisory work.
