Job Summary:

As the Fabrication and Manufacturing Lead at MTG, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the fabrication and manufacturing operations of our facility. This position requires someone with hands-on experience in prototyping, fabrication, and rapid manufacturing. You will be responsible for understanding design specifications, offering insights into manufacturing standards, operating the facility, and leading a small team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects and lead the manufacturing process from start to finish.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the fabrication and manufacturing processes from design to final production, ensuring high quality and timely delivery.
  • Interpret design specifications and provide insights into manufacturing feasibility, offering recommendations for process optimization.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, vendors, partners, and clients to refine and enhance prototypes for efficient production.
  • Operate and maintain fabrication machinery, equipment, and tools, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.
  • Manage and schedule production workflow, allocating resources effectively to meet project deadlines.
  • Lead a small team of production staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high productivity and quality output.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and minimize errors.
  • Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure compliance with manufacturing standards and client specifications.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with engineering to ensure adequate supply of materials and equipment.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and advancements in rapid manufacturing and fabrication techniques.


Qualifications:

  • Several years of hands-on experience in prototyping, fabrication, and rapid manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, designs, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in operating a variety of fabrication machinery and tools.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate a small team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing standards and quality control processes.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.

Salary

$60,000 - $115,000 per year
