Miami Waterkeeper is seeking a motivated Videography Intern to support our marketing and communications team in creating video content that brings our work to life. This is a hands-on opportunity for a student or emerging filmmaker interested in gaining real-world experience in video production, visual storytelling, and digital media. The intern will work alongside the Marketing Manager to support video projects from concept and planning through filming, editing, and final production. The ideal candidate has a basic understanding of filmmaking, camera operation, and video editing, but does not need extensive professional experience. This role is designed to provide practical experience and mentorship while giving the intern the opportunity to contribute to publicly shared work for a growing environmental organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with planning and producing video content for Miami Waterkeeper’s social media, website, campaigns, events, and other communications.
- Participate in video shoots, including camera operation, framing, lighting, and capturing b-roll.
- Assist with organizing and managing video footage and digital files.
- Edit short-form and longer-form video content for digital platforms.
- Assist with basic motion graphics, animations, captions, transitions, and other post-production elements as needed.
- Support video production in the field, including documenting Miami Waterkeeper programs, events, advocacy efforts, scientific work, and South Florida’s natural environment.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager and other team members to develop creative concepts and tell compelling stories through video.
- Help adapt video content for different digital platforms and audiences.
- Contribute creative ideas and stay informed about current video and social media trends.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Basic understanding of video production, filmmaking, or visual storytelling.
- Interest in environmental storytelling, digital media, filmmaking, or a related creative field.
- Ability to work independently, stay organized, and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Ability to provide your own computer for editing and other production work.
- Availability for approximately 10 hours per week through December 2026.
Desired skills and experience:
- Experience using Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
- Basic camera operation experience.
- Photography experience.
- Video editing experience.
- Familiarity with short-form video and social media content.
- Experience with animation, motion graphics, or Adobe After Effects is a plus, but not required.

Schedule: 10 hours per week
