Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Auto Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of vehicles while producing quality work in an efficient manner. This position is paid based on book time performance, offering strong earning potential for skilled and motivated technicians.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using modern diagnostic equipment
- Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, steering systems, and other vehicle components
- Complete routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, inspections, and fluid services
- Test drive vehicles before and after repairs when necessary
- Identify additional repair or maintenance recommendations
- Maintain accurate repair orders and documentation
- Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Work efficiently to maximize productivity and book time hours
- Communicate effectively with management and service advisors regarding repair status and vehicle conditions
Requirements
- Previous experience as an Auto Mechanic or Automotive Technician preferred
- Strong understanding of automotive repair and diagnostic procedures
- Ability to diagnose and repair both mechanical and electrical systems
- Experience using diagnostic scanners and automotive tools
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
- ASE certifications are a plus but not required
