Cleaning Supervisor – Residential & Commercial

Pay: $22-$25 Per Hour

Hours: 30-40 Guaranteed

Schedule: Monday–Friday within the 8:00 AM–5:00 PM range, with occasional weekends

Service Area: Menomonie/Eau Claire/Chippewa Falls WI and customer locations up to approximately 40 miles away

Position Type: Permanent, long-term position

About the Position

Help lead our residential and commercial cleaning team in a hands-on role: approximately 50% cleaning/quality checks and 50% leadership/operations support. The balance may vary with business needs.

What You’ll Do

• Lead routine, deep, and move-in/move-out cleaning alongside the team. Review instructions, assign tasks, keep jobs on schedule, and inspect and correct work before leaving.
• Train and coach cleaners, conduct one-on-one check-ins, and document performance, attendance, conduct, and training concerns. Help review applications, interview, recommend hires, onboard, and evaluate new hires.
• Build customer relationships, conduct walkthroughs and quality-control visits, and document job needs for estimates. Handle escalated calls, messages, customer concerns, and related follow-up.
• Review schedules for staffing, timing, and travel issues; help coordinate changes and cover call-outs or solo jobs. Occasionally respond to urgent staffing, access, or operational issues outside scheduled hours.
• Maintain job, employee, and training records; review time entries; maintain supplies and equipment; handle customer keys, lockboxes, and alarm codes; protect confidential information; promptly report and document incidents.
• Help develop, implement, and improve procedures, checklists, training materials, office workflows, and approved policies. Reinforce safety and quality standards and assist with reasonable administrative duties.
• Support employee accountability, customer resolutions, and daily operational decisions, with upper-management review or approval when needed.
• Other tasks as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

• Required: At least 1 year of paid professional cleaning experience, including residential, commercial, housekeeping, janitorial, or closely related work.
• Required: Two professional references before hiring. A background check and/or drug screening may be required.
• Preferred: 1–3+ years of leadership experience. Experience with hiring, scheduling, walkthroughs, quality inspections, or process documentation is also helpful.
• Customer-service experience; strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and judgment; comfortable coaching others, working independently, and learning computer and smartphone applications.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle with room for supplies and equipment; willingness to travel within approximately 40 miles of Menomonie and occasionally transport coworkers or equipment.
• Ability to perform regular cleaning duties, including standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting and carrying supplies, with or without reasonable accommodation. Jobs may include pets, stairs, odors, or heavily soiled areas.
