JoAnna Mendoza for Congress is hiring a full-time Finance Assistant to join the Mendoza for Congress team. The Finance Assistant will support the finance department, including call time support, donor follow-up, events, donor research, and other related duties as assigned. The Finance Assistant reports directly to the Finance Director. 


Campaign Overview

JoAnna “Jo” Mendoza is running for Congress against one of the most vulnerable incumbents in the country. This district is a red to blue opportunity, it has a unique demographic composition, and represents one of the largest metro areas in Arizona, while also encompassing suburban and rural areas. 


JoAnna is a single mom, Latina, and Marine Corps veteran of 20 years. She is a longstanding member of the community with deep roots throughout the district. Jo is running to restore servant leadership in Congress, fight to lower prices, and bring a voice for working families for Arizona’s 6th Congressional District! She will bring real, grounded, and authentic leadership to Washington. 



Job Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $4,500 Monthly

Employer-covered health, vision, and dental benefits provided


Responsibilities 

  • Assist with the call time program, including staffing call time, donor prospecting and research, call time preparation, pre-dialing, double-dialing, donor follow-up, and pledge tracking
  • Assist with planning and executing fundraising events
  • Support the daily finance operations of the program, including data entry, correspondence, and other finance projects as they arise
  • Providing support with other tasks and duties as assigned by the Finance Director, Campaign Manager, and Candidate as requested


Qualifications 

  • Strong commitment to electing Democrats 
  • 0-2 years of fundraising experience in campaigns, non-profits, or other related organizations are a plus
  • Exemplary time management, planning, and organizational skills
  • Positive attitude and willingness to problem solve in difficult situations
  • Proficiency with Google Suite
  • Experience with VoteBuilder (VAN), Numero,, and Switchboard preferred
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the willingness and ability to travel across the state as needed for campaign activities
  • Experience in political campaigns, non-profits, advocacy, or community organizing (internships or campus organizing experience welcome) preferred
  • This job is based in the Tucson Metropolitan Area and applicants need to be willing to relocate to the area


Salary

$4,500 - $4,500 per month
