Statement of Faith for the Student Leadership Program
At the heart of the Student Leadership Program is the belief that true leadership stems from a foundation of faith, integrity, and service. We are committed to fostering an environment where students can grow not only as leaders but also as individuals who embrace principles rooted in Christian values. Our program upholds the following beliefs and practices:
- Faith in God: We believe in the power of God’s love, grace, and guidance. As leaders, we seek to honor God in all we do, understanding that leadership is a calling to serve others with humility, kindness, and integrity.
- Servant Leadership: We are committed to the concept of servant leadership, where the primary goal of leadership is to serve others. True leaders follow the example of Jesus Christ, who taught us that "whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant" (Matthew 20:26). Through this program, students will be encouraged to put the needs of others first, act with compassion, and be a source of light in their community.
- Integrity and Honesty: We believe in the importance of living with integrity, honesty, and accountability. As students, we will uphold ethical standards and encourage others to do the same, knowing that our actions reflect not only on ourselves but on the values we uphold.
- Respect for Others: We believe in showing respect for all individuals, regardless of their background, beliefs, or circumstances. As leaders, students will be encouraged to embrace diversity and practice inclusivity, demonstrating Christ-like love and respect for others at all times.
- Service to the Community: We believe that leadership is not about titles or recognition but about serving others and making a positive impact in the world. Students will be given opportunities to engage in community service projects that reflect the call to love and serve our neighbors (Matthew 22:39).
- Prayer and Reflection: We believe in the power of prayer and reflection in shaping strong, wise leaders. Students will have opportunities for prayer and reflection, allowing them to seek guidance and strength from God in their leadership journey.
- Hope and Encouragement: We believe in the importance of hope, encouragement, and perseverance. As students grow in their leadership, they will be encouraged to face challenges with faith and resilience, knowing that God has a purpose for their lives and that they can accomplish great things through Him.
Commitment to Faith-Based Values
As participants in this program, students are invited to walk in faith and exemplify the Christian values of love, humility, service, and integrity.
