About Medi-Buddy Medical Companion Services LLC

Medi-Buddy is a premium medical companion service that provides supportive transportation and companionship for clients attending medical appointments, outpatient procedures, treatments, and wellness visits.

We are more than a ride. Our Companions provide a calm, reliable, and compassionate presence throughout a client’s appointment experience — from pickup, to waiting during the appointment, to safely returning the client home.

Our mission is to provide a concierge-level experience that feels personal, supportive, and dignified.

Position Summary

A Medi-Buddy Companion is responsible for safely transporting and accompanying clients to medical appointments while providing professional, compassionate support throughout the service experience.

This role is ideal for individuals who are dependable, patient, emotionally intelligent, and genuinely enjoy helping people.

Companions are not caregivers or medical professionals. This position does not include in-home care, medical treatment, lifting assistance, or personal care services.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport clients to and from appointments

• Arrive on time and prepared for scheduled services

• Remain with clients during appointments or procedures when requested

• Provide companionship and emotional support in a calm, professional manner

• Assist clients with basic non-medical support such as:

- Opening doors

- Escorting clients into facilities

- Carrying light personal belongings

• Maintain professional communication with clients, families, and healthcare staff

• Keep company vehicles clean, fueled, and presentable

• Follow all Medi-Buddy safety policies and client confidentiality standards

• Use company technology systems for scheduling, communication, and documentation

• Promptly report scheduling issues, vehicle concerns, incidents, or emergencies

What This Position Is NOT

Medi-Buddy Companions do NOT:

• Provide medical care

• Administer medication

• Perform lifting or transfer assistance

• Provide in-home caregiving

• Make medical decisions for clients

• Provide counseling or clinical services

Qualifications

Preferred candidates may have experience in:

• Customer service

• Healthcare support

• Hospitality

• Senior services

• Transportation services

• Social work support

• Community outreach

• Care coordination

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

• Ability to pass background check

• Reliable transportation to and from vehicle staging location

• Professional appearance and demeanor

• Strong communication skills

• Ability to remain calm under pressure

• Comfortable working independently

• Smartphone proficiency

Compensation

Compensation may include:

• Hourly pay for client service time

• Hourly pay for operational/dead time

• Evening, weekend, and holiday differentials

Scheduling Expectations

This is an on-call, flexible scheduling position during the company’s startup phase.

Availability may vary week to week.

Companions may occasionally work:

• Early mornings

• Evenings

• Weekends

• Holidays

Physical Requirements

• Ability to enter and exit vehicles repeatedly

• Ability to walk clients into facilities

• Ability to lift light items such as bags or walkers

• Ability to sit for extended periods while waiting during appointments
